π Retailer of the Quarter β Judging Criteria
Each quarter, Pacific Fair recognises outstanding retailers who demonstrate excellence in store performance, engagement, customer service, innovation and contribution to the centre community. 3 retailers are selected each quarter.
Judging is conducted by centre management across the following areas, with each department contributing equally to a fair and holistic assessment.
Eligibility
- Retailers must have been operational for 3 months to be eligible
- The retailer must have met leasing, operational and financial obligations
- The store should comply with health, safety and legal standards
π How We Judge
- Retail Manager (Allocated per store) 15% weighting
- Overall store performance, collaboration with centre teams, advocacy for the centre, and general relationship with Pacific Fair.
- Retail & CX Manager 15% weighting
- Customer feedback, Google reviews, CX nominations, and participation in customer experience programs and our centre programmes.
- Marketing Manager 15% weighting
- Involvement in centre campaigns, collaboration on activations, visual merchandising quality, marketing initiatives.
- Operations Manager 15% weighting
- Operational contribution including waste, recycling, electricity usage, engagement with sustainability or diversity programs.
- Retail Coordinator 15% weighting
- Store presentation and upkeep, including signage, visual compliance, and attention to retail standards.
- Sales Performance 10% weighting
- Sales results or visible effort to drive sales through activations, events or promotions.
- General Manager 15% weighting
- Overall impression: may include presentation, team culture, centre involvement, and advocacy for the centreβs broader goals.
- Admin Check Pass/Fail
- To be eligible, key business administration must be up to date, including rental payments, Public Liability Insurance and other important valid documentation. Failure in this area disqualifies a retailer regardless of score.
π Scoring Scale
All departments (except Admin) will score out of 5, based on the following guide:
- 1 β Poor Significantly below expectations
- 2 β Below Expectations Needs improvement, meeting only minimum standards, inconsistent.
- 3 β Meets Expectations Meets a standard performance
- 4 β Exceeds Expectations Performs above standard, shows initiative, creativity and frequently goes above and beyond.
- 5 β Exceptional Industry leading, standout retailer
β Admin Tasks β Ineligibility Clause
Retailers who do not have essential admin items in place (e.g. rent arrears, expired insurance, or missing PLI certificates) will be considered ineligible, regardless of their score in all other categories.
