How to shop the Beauty Weekend

Between pop-up glam stations, celebrity meet & greets, too-good-to-be-missed offers and tons of prizes....how does one find time to fit all the fun of the Beauty Weekend into two days. We'll show you how.

Where to be
If you haven’t heard yet, YouTube and Instagram sensation, James Charles will be at Pacific Fair for his first-ever Australia meet and greet. With an overwhelming response to his announcement, it’s no secret that this event is going to be popular! James will be on stage in The Resort from 10:30am on Saturday 19 May. And just when you thought it was hard to back up from a name like James, homegrown YouTube sensations, Michael Finch and Lily Brown will be dropping in for a visit on Sunday 20 May. For the keen fans (and those not scared of the morning sun!), we’ll be opening the Bus Interchange gates first at approx. 6:00am. Fans can make a beeline for The Resort to join the queue to meet James, Michael and Lily. Remember to pack sunscreen, hat and a water bottle as this is an outdoor event!

Shoppers who are over 18 and want to shop like a VIP, head on up to the Bubble Bar just near H&M for a complimentary bubbles. Perfect opportunity to take a load off, refresh and make a hitlist of what shops to hit next!

What to see
Once you’ve had a photo with your fave beauty name, lace up the runners and get moving…there’s still so much to see. Head over to Incu (just near David Jones) and Pin the Lips on James or Michael for the chance to win some epic prizes. As the day wears on and you’re in need of a little touch up, take a seat at the Glam Stations throughout the Centre for a quick makeover. Free of course! And if you missed out on a ticket to the sell-out beauty masterclasses, feel free to spectate from the sidelines and hear tips from some of Pacific Fair’s best makeup artists. Check them out in Centre Court.

David Jones are putting on a smorgasboard of mini-facials, makeovers and treatments from their plethora of skincare bars. All you need to do is show up, put your feet up and settle in for the royal treatment. Tons of retailers are getting in on the action including Ella Bache, Sephora and Tigerlily.

Where to eat, drink and relax
When someone says Beauty Weekend, it’s exactly that….A. Whole. Weekend. Keep those energy levels at an optimum shopping level (yes, there is such a thing) by sharing a snack or beverage at any one of Pacific Fair’s restaurants and bars. Sip on a pink Comuna Colada from our fave Mexican haunt, Comuna Cantina, on The Boulevard, or a Candy Margarita from the experts in desserts, Cowch. One must share it on Instagram as the aged old saying goes, “if it’s not shared on Instagram, did it even happen?”

“Snack” bang in the middle of The Boulevard is Betty’s Burgers who is guaranteed to fill the hungriest of bellies. We can’t go past the Classic Betty’s Burger with a side of fries, yum! Also on The Boulevard are award-winning steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse and Yum Cha Cuisine.

Where to shop
Everywhere. And we literally mean, everywhere. Almost every beauty retailer is rewarding Beauty Weekend shoppers with discounts, gifts and complimentary samples. Mecca Maxima are giving shoppers a limited edition festival makeup bag for purchases of $85 or more on Too Faced products. The Body Shop are running 15% off and Sephora are giving out a free Lip Pouch with any two Sephora Collection lip products purchased. You had us at FREE!

And last, but certainly not least, shoppers who spend more than $250 can sashay down to Concierge and collect a FREE $50 Pacific Fair gift card and a Napoleon Perdis DeVine Goddess Lipstick in two fab colours. We think you should run, not walk for this one….they’re going to go quick! Limited stocks available.
