This week on the Pacific Fair Two Girls And Nothing To Wear podcast, our hosts, Yvette and Violet sit down with fashion stylist Kimberly Gardner to discuss the trends straight off the runway from VAMFF which are already hitting stores. If you’re looking to stock up your wardrobe this season, then you’ll want to take notes from this list.
Forget your boring, old florals when you can go all out in this trend! Kimberly is all about this trend, saying “It’s not the dainty, pretty florals from spring and summer. It’s more oriental, with dalah reds and greens. Think Thurley, Ellery and Zimmermann”.
It’s time to make a statement! One way to do so is embracing the ‘popsical’ trend. This is all about bright, highlighter block colours from top-to-toe and being the centre of attention. Labels such as Scanlon Theodore, Dion Lee and Manning Cartel are leading the pack with this head-turning trend!
Checks are making waves this A/W! In fact, the more you wear, the better. This was seen on the VAMFF runway in the form of suits and plaid. Kimberly tells us this trend is coming back from the early 1900s, saying “The 1930s and 1940s dresses from that era are creeping into the ‘checkmate’ trend”.
