Emily Whitlock's Gifts for the Fashion-It-Girl

It’s that time of year again! The champagne starts flowing, the events are never ending and we never seem to have enough time for anything!!

Christmas seems to come around faster and faster every year! If you are anything like me, we leave everything to the last minute...Christmas gift ideas seem to be the bane of my existence! The pressure just becomes too much, I get far too overwhelmed and end up buying what ever is left basically the night before. Yes, I am an anxiety attack just waiting to happen!

However, this year I plan to do things a little differently and actually pre-plan some gift ideas for the whole family that are easy to find and super affordable. I gave myself a day to wander around Pacific Fair and find some ideas that everyone would love!

Christmas is by far my favourite holiday season! It just screams sun and beach days spent with family and friends. Therefore, my gift ideas are very suitable for the lifestyle we live here. Beach bag or day bag? I have you all sorted. I love the versatility we have with bags these days, and this cute bag I have chosen from Sportsgirl is just that! I love the netting feature and the timber handle. Perfect for storing some of your summer day essentials. Summer hats are also a must on my list! I have chosen this tan visor from Rhythm which is definitively a strategic option for the windier of days. How else would we accompany a beach day than with the perfect size towel. This Country Road Towel with the tassel trim is perfect for your drying or relaxing needs. You’ll be sure to keep the sand off you laying on this one! Now we have all that sorted, grab your inflatables and let’s get wet!!! This ring from a Pillow Talk will have everyone fighting for a float!! What better way than to capture all these special memories than with the perfect underwater camera! That’s right, put your phones away and have fun getting the perfect shot on the water!

Beach aside, we known to live a very active lifestyle on the Gold Coast, so a good water bottle and pair of sneakers can never go astray! I went straight to Decjuba to get myself a stylish yet appropriate set.

I like to call myself the queen of accessories and let’s be honest you can never have too many. Head scarves are huge this season, there are so many colours and patterns to choose from. But are perfect to accompany a little summer outfit. Kookai and Seed are my go-to when it comes to this accessory. They always do a great pattern and have a wide range of colour options. Perfect to tie in the hair, around your neck or on your favourite bag!  This belt from Zara is perfect to add around the waste to really complete an outfit. A good pair of heels will always finalise a look. These woven mules from Glassons are the perfect height and great way to transform a look from day to evening too. And lastly a watch and sunglasses are always great to have handy and mix up. These tortoiseshell sunglasses from City Beach are a simplistic and stylish sunglasses option. Perfect to have on hand in our Sunny State. How else would we tell the time if it weren’t for a watch!? This Tony Bianco watch will have you running on time to all of those Christmas events. If you are deciding to leave us, and jet set to your favourite location over this festive season, you can’t go past this Zara Home leather toiletry bag. Nice and simple to keep all those travel essentials in!

Lastly, who doesn’t like to pamper themselves around such a stressful time of year? So why not wind down, have a glass of wine and relax in style with the perfect bath and bath bomb combo. Lush was my one stop shop to get myself sorted with their array of colourful bath bombs. I know this is how I’ll be spending most of my evenings!

Make sure you all enjoy this festive time of year. It really is the one time of year where we get to spend time with the ones we love! Have fun and try not to stress too much. I’ve done the hard work for you!! Happy Shopping!!
