Husband and wife duo, Allan and Leanne’s dream of owning their own family business started 7 years ago when they decided to open their own bakery! Here’s a few fun facts you might not know about Sunbaked Bakery.
  • Sunbaked offers a delicious range of bread, cakes, pastries and pies which are all made fresh in-house every morning with local ingredients by their artisan baker who has travelled around Europe acquiring the best recipes and techniques.
  • The bakery offers a spelt range of product with less gluten, more protein and fibre and lower GI. Their sourdough loaves are so popular that some customers travel from Brisbane to get their hands on a loaf or two!
  • Their coffee beans are locally sourced from Brisbane, an incredible blend of Veneziano coffee.
  • If you have a sweet tooth, stop in and try their latest menu item, gluten free donuts! Sunbaked also offer custom made cakes for birthdays and special occasion.

Pies and sourdough breads, we carry 8-9 ranges of sourdough and a new range of gluten free donuts, bakes not fried. We have customers that travel from Brisbane just for our sourdough loaves!
How do you create a new menu item?
Our local customers are a big part of the decision process when it comes to launching a new menu item. As a team, we brainstorm ideas together based on customer feedback we've received in-store. We have a great gluten free chef who is extremely talented and can easily bring our new menu ideas to life!
What makes your bakery unique?
We offer a spelt range of product, with less gluten, more protein and fibre while lower GI which is very popular, catering to customers with dietary requirements.
We also have an artisan baker from Estonia who has travelled all over Europe acquiring different recipes and techniques.
