Keeping you safe this Christmas

The health and safety of all our customers continues to be our primary focus and we are working hard to ensure Pacific Fair is clean and hygienic for all our visitors and staff.

As we head into the peak holiday period we have taken extra measures to ensure your visit remains a safe and welcoming experience.

Here’s what we are doing to ensure our centre remains clean and hygienic when you visit:

✔️ Nightly deep clean of all furniture and bathrooms
✔️ Installation of extra hand sanitiser stations throughout the centre, including the food courts and at all entries
✔️ Physical distancing signage throughout all entries, food courts and seating areas
✔️ Cleaning rotations every 20 minutes in busy areas such as bathrooms and food areas
✔️ Daily hospital grade cleaning
✔️ Signs in front of retail shopfront outlining how many people are allowed in each store
✔️ Ongoing staff support and training to keep you safe
✔️ Regular public announcements, every 10 minutes reminding our customers to physical distance
✔️ Providing queuing aids to our retailers including floor stickers and bollards
✔️ Distribution of hand sanitisers to customers and retailers
✔️ Introduced COVID Mall wardens who will focus on managing crowds and physical distancing across the centre.

Are Santa photos happening this year?
Yes. We have been working closely with our Santa photo provider to ensure that Santa photos can continue in a COVID safe way.
There are some changes to the normal Santa photo experience, with bookings only available online and no walk-ins to prevent queuing. Our set will look a little different this year which allows you to still have a memorable photo with Santa at a safe 1.5m distance, but we believe the experience will still be magical and each child will receive a free gift.

How are you controlling our safety during the Santa photos?
Knowing that Santa is an important tradition for many of our customers we were determined to find a safe way to still bring Santa to Pacific Fair this year. We have developed a COVID safe plan, in accordance with Government requirements, specifically for the Santa photo activity and to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
There is a screening process when booking, timely reminders not to visit if you are experiencing any symptoms and contact tracing information will be kept on file should it be required. We will have hand sanitiser available throughout the experience and staff are following strict hygiene protocols.

When is the best time to visit the centre to miss the crowds?
As we are constantly monitoring customer traffic within our centre, we are aware of the off-peak times which are from 9am - 11am and 3pm - 5:30pm daily.
We are also working with our retail partners to extend their trading hours during the key sales and holiday periods to allow more people to visit during off-peak hours.
To see an individual store’s trading hours please visit their store page on our website.

How will you be managing crowds at the centre?
We have been following government and health authority advice since this situation started and have taken every step to keep our centre clean and safe and that all physical distancing practices are being adhered to.
We have had extra cleaning and security staff, and this will continue with the addition of COVID Mall wardens, who will focus on managing crowding and moving along any customers not physically distancing.
We are working closely with each of our retail partners to ensure they have clear communication on numbers allowed in store and physical distancing queuing set up.
