Sustainability

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is committed to reducing our impact on the environment and ongoing sustainable operations.

This year we supported Earth Hour and joined other local and international icons to support the fight against global warming by turning off external lights including the Pacific Fair signs featuring the iconic neon waterlily.

Also we have implemented a number of water and energy-saving initiatives across the centre, including:

Energy

All external lighting has been replaced with energy saving and eco-friendly light bulbs to help reduce the centre’s energy consumption.

Water

In mid-2009 we installed a new urinal flushing system in a bid to reduce water consumption.  The system has naturally occurring bacteria which are eco-friendly.

Through these and other initiatives, we hope to inspire others to introduce some simple changes that will help support a more environmentally sustainable future.
